Jones Parade Childrens Garden

Established in 2020, the Jones Parade Childrens Garden was established on a shoestring budget with a generous donation from Coolum Community Kindergarten [next door] and Urbankind a local planning consultancy. It was created as a place for children and their families to connect in a Covid safe way as the pandemic swept over the globe. The community kindergarten is a great social connector for families and in 2020 restrictions meant no parents could come inside and lead to more social isolation. In 2023 there are children who started kindy with friends from the garden so it was a great transition for them starting the year with familiar faces. Friday afternoon playdates, Thursday morning bees, hide and seek in the trees.

We are so grateful our local community advocated for the established native vegetation to be retained as our kids love climbing, playing and hiding in the trees.

It is a well loved and cared for neighbourhood garden which is for anyone to enjoy!
